This post kind of sums up my feelings about the constant rants on programming.reddit.com.
I’ve ranted about ordinary reddit before, after which I decided to switch to the programming only version. That’s was good; for a while. It’s now consumed with rants about Erlang, Lisp, SmallTalk, Scheme, Ruby and Python; and frequently dictates “Don’t do that, do this instead”.
Well, the above post, pretty much nails it on the head. Essentially, it says “I use Pascal. Live with it. I use the right tool for the right job. Pascal isn’t always right, and when it isn’t, I don’t use it”.
Brilliant.
